USS VS SAE Washers

SAE washers were developed and the specifications were outline by the Society of Automotive Engineers(SAE) to meet the requirements of automotive manufacturer applications.

USS washers or United States Standard were developed for the engineering requirements of the majority of industrial applications in all fields of manufacturing, maintenance and repair.

SAE washers are have a smaller outside diameter and are thinner than the USS flat washer.
